Don writes novels, short stories, and the occasional thing that refuses to be either. The Line Uncrossed, his forthcoming debut, is a Civil War story that started with a real letter from a real ancestor and ended several hundred pages later. A second novel, centered on the 1865 trial of Henry Wirz, is underway. Between the novels, he writes short fiction across whatever genre the idea demands, horror, science fiction, quiet drama, the occasional ghost story, for his own podcast network. He also wrote Financial Fysics, a visual guide to investing that proves he can write about something other than the 1860s.
